US-based in-home senior care franchise, Right at Home, is to significantly expand its Irish franchise, doubling its workforce from 35 to 70 staff, it said today.
After reaching the $1 billion sales mark in the United States, representing more than 50 million hours of care provided to more than 75,000 seniors, Right at Home spent 2012 positioning itself to take its model to international markets. With more than 300 offices on four continents, the in-home senior care franchise is specifically focusing on further developing in Ireland, it said today.
Due to an increasing ageing population and a growing demand for in-home senior care in Ireland, a team led by David McKone opened Dublin's pilot Right at Home office in March of 2013.
The firm said that, given the success of the Dublin location, coupled with a growing need for senior care, McKone and his team are already planning for significant expansion of Right at Home's Irish presence. Right at Home's office in Dublin currently employs 35 people, however, with the expansion the company plans to double employee numbers in the next 18 months.
